Hi jewellery lovers!
Welcome to Elsiem Jewellery. My name is Lorraine Hitt and I’m the creator & designer of this stylish & modern independent jewellery brand, based in Cambridge, UK.
To help us connect, here is little bit about my design background – My forma design career disciplines including Graphic, 2D/3D CAD, Furniture & Architectural Interior are not only prevalent in my designs but have provided me with invaluable skills for developing my jewellery brand, all inspired by my love of simple architectural & sculptural forms, incorporating functionality & practicality.
During more than 30 years experience within the Design industry, I have experimented with the design process, both recreationally and commercially. Around 2016, I took my love for all things simple, stylish and edgy and experimented with modern collections for the design led jewellery lover.
I studied and self taught the art of metal smith to enable me to create hand crafted metal pieces and now also use that skill to incorporate metal into my latest design development of 3D Printing too. I have recently launched a very exciting range of modern designs made from a material called Selective Laser Sintering Nylon that is 3D Printed from my CAD designs. The 3D prints are dyed with a fabric dye, I then adorn some of them with metal elements which gives an interesting unity of modern technology with traditional metal smithing skills. This has given a whole new dimension to my jewellery collections and I am always learning and evolving techniques and materials to keep my work fresh and innovative. You can watch this short video about this process, which will hopefully give you more of an insight.

At Elsiem Jewellery I only use good quality materials and am conscious of allergies or skin reaction concerns, so my product listing will always detail the type of metal or material used for each individual piece.
I hope you find something that you love and get as much pleasure wearing the jewellery as I have had in making it for you. If you want to ask me about my creative process or materials I use, then please email me at sales@elsiem.co.uk , I would love to hear from you and I will always help if I can!
Please enjoy……

Here is what a few of my customers have said about me and my jewellery…….
‘ Well thought out jewellery with unusual designs and great craftsmanship. Have bought several pieces now and will continue to do so. The elegance of the jewellery even compliment my not so slender fingers! Thank you! ‘ Mrs T
‘ Well the lovely Lorraine made my Christmas shopping very easy – and to add to my delight everyone thought their Christmas gifts were wonderful. Not often I can afford individually designed jewellery for my family and girlfriends but elsie. m. jewellery made it possible! Thank you Lorraine keep those designs coming! ‘ Irene
‘ Since meeting the Lovely Lorraine I have had a few items from her jewellery selection.
One item… a really beautiful broach. Quite large so as well as wearing it with big chunky jumpers, it doubles up as a fastener for cardigans etc…
Another item has been a very unusual ring. It’s kind of square & I was so attracted to it for it’s uniqueness I had to have that. The one she had was the wrong size for me but Lorraine altered it in no time to fit my thin fingers.
The last item I purchased was one of her new pieces of work with leather. Again I saw this on her stall & just could not resist. I wear it all the time & lots of friends & family have complimented it.
Lorraine has a lovely delicate, classy style to her work & I just love it .’ Tina Stedman
‘ I commissioned Lorraine to design me a necklace for a music video shoot I had booked in – I gave her a very tight deadline too. She was an absolute star – not only designing, completing and posting me the necklace with days to spare but also to create a stunning unique piece of jewellery that fitted my requirements perfectly! I loved wearing it on the day and have since worn it lots – the light materials mean that I don;t even know I have it on (one of my requirements) and it is truly stunning – I get a lot of people asking me where I got the necklace from all the time. Thank you Lorraine and Elsie.m Jewellery – I shall be back for more!! ‘ Irene Rae
